We have seen yarn bombing and graffiti - now towns are being hit by random acts of crochet kindness.

Post boxes in a number of towns in east Norfolk and Waveney have been given colourful crochet 'hats', topped off with cuddly creatures including a Teddy bear, a bunny and a chick.

Many of the designs have been found by people in Lowestoft.

Others have mysteriously popped up in other areas across Waveney, east Suffolk and Norfolk, including in Great Yarmouth, Kessingland and Southwold.

Many feature Easter displays and others give messages of hope.

Angela Jones-Heath found one of the designs on Westwood Avenue in Lowestoft and said: 'I was surprised and delighted to see another one. It made me smile that I had found a different one from the others I had seen on Facebook.

'It so fantastic to see them popping up all around the town. Such a fantastic idea from the person doing them all with different designs, to bring smiles to us all at this difficult time.'

Passer-by in Southwold, Chris Mortimer said: 'It certainly brightened my day up, a lot of time and effort went into making these, the people who made them are really talented.

Known locations of the designs so far are on Norwich Road, Westwood Avenue, Ramona Road, Rotterdam Road and Stradbroke Road in Lowestoft with others popping up in Gorleston, Hopton, Kessingland and Southwold.

Kelly said: 'I was on furlough for six and a half months and I have been doing crotchet for the past few years.

'I decided I wanted to make people smile and cheer everybody up during these difficult times so that people had something to talk about other than Covid and it looks like that has worked.

'It has been up since Friday and only took me a few days to make.'

Kelly confirmed she only made the crochet design on Norwich/Rotterdam Road and it remains to be seen who has designed the others.

Post Person keeps Stuffing Big boxes into our Big mailbox and boxes and not bringing them to the door.Amazon shouldn't touch the Mail box either!

Dear Postmaster, I wish to acknowledge the mailwoman who delivers to 212 L Street, Lake Lotawana, MO 64086. This carrier places mail on a table at the door. My mother, at age 100, is most grateful to the extraordinary attention this employee pays to her job. She was concerned how she was going to retrieve her mail from the roadside box during adverse winter conditions. Your dedicated employee put that concern to rest with her individual personal delivery system. Please, thank her from me.

I wanted to let you know that Kristal was soooo kind and helpful today! I came in to the Lee’s Summit, Market Street, post office today with a calendar to mail to Boston. I didn’t see anything that would work to mail it in. Kristal found a flat box, placed the calendar inside, taped it all up and got it ready to mail! I can’t tell you how much I appreciated her help!

I would like to know if I can mail dried peppers and corn husks to my niece in a differystate?

Absolutely terrible, have never had the issues with deliveries like we do in Lee’s summit. Always delivering to the wrong mailboxes. Have complained officially many times without any resolution. Had to have someone come out and unlock the box to get my medications half a dozen times that were delivered priority mail to the wrong box. It is pretty much a daily delivery issue with the mail. If it counts use Fed Ex or UPS. Stinks because we pay taxes which fund this service. It’s the “Postal Service” not “Postal Company” a service we all pay for which is apparently broken, especially in Lee’s Summit . Again if it counts and you’re in Lee’s Summit, use UPS or Fed Ex.

I do not usually write reviews but I was so impressed and happy with the service I received. my packages were mistakenly put in a wrong box and the gentleman on the phone found and packages and brought them to me! I have never been so surprised and thankful for his willingness to help me out. Thank you so much again

I have had trouble in the past. One reviewer said they don’t understand all the bad reviews. Well I do all too well. From nasty notes left in the box. To packages set in front of the garage. To others being left on the truck for days because they didn’t want to walk to my porch. Now I’ve missed a package to be delivered. So I think I’ll follow protocols and signed up on line for redelivery. Waited ALL day Monday for it to be redelivered. Never happened. I called, employee’s response, “I don’t know what happened. It wasn’t your regular carrier. He was supposed to pick it up off the shelf.” It is the same answer EVERY time there is a problem.

Poor service. Our postman refuses to scan prepaid mail going out so you can track it. So then end up taking to the mail post office and dropping off in bin for prepaid after hours. They don't scan either. Poor way to run a business. UPS and FedX scan everything and you know right where your package is. Like I said poor service and no work ethics. That is our government in a nut shell. I guess they take after congress.

When we have a package or box that does not fit in the mailbox, our carrier brings it up to our covered porch in front and places it out on the front walk and not under the covered porch. She can't walk a few more steps and place it under the covered front patio. If it's raining or snowing it is left out in the elements. I have a picture that will show just in case anyone is interested. This has been done several times and is not just one instance. I am sick and tired of our postal service. I know they have a lot on their plate but this is just plain lazy!

Our mail service has been poor for the last few months, frequently not being delivered till after dark. Some days, we don't get mail - unlikely event. Yesterday, my husband mailed something in the outgoing slot. A neighbor picked it up this morning. Clearly, the carrier dropped it when unloading. This was an important piece of mail (return of personal property inventory). I don't know exactly what time this occurred but darkness would certainly explain. Our previous mail was delivered between 2 and 2:30 with only one exception (vehicle breakdown). Lakewood resident

The mail carrier in Winterset has the opinion that she can tell people when and when they can pick up their mail. She is not a nice person, stay away from her! And for crying out loud don't talk to her, she will jump all over you!

I was mailing in my tax documents with payment. I put my envelope in the mail on 4/14/2017. On 4/20/2017 I got my envelope returned to me with a sticker on it saying 'return to sender'. Anyone handling my envelope could see where it was going and that it needed to be in the mail by 4/18/2017. Why did it take take 6 days to get back to me! Why some one couldn't of got it to me faster. So now, because of the USPS my taxes are late. I cannot tell you how infuriated I am. Absolutely ridiculious.

Where Are The Nearest Post Boxes

two times in two weeks our church was sent a letter that was returned to sender. I have the envelope, it was clearly addressed correctly.I am only concerned because when I mentioned this to others I was told of at least five other cases of the same thing occurring to them. seems we have a problem.

I live at John Knox. Is it too much to expect the carrier to bring small packages to the door?...I can see that he left a book package between 2 mailboxes...I hope it is still there when I hopefully have the strength to go out and get it. I hope he remembers his non service when he is old and ailing
